This is not a painful process. Using an advanced double-wave laser is a painless and scarless procedure.

The cost of the treatment depends on the level of pigmentation and the number of sessions required for the patient.

Recovery

Recovery time for the laser vulval bleaching will take about a week. It is highly advisable to avoid sexual intercourse for about 4 weeks after surgery.

After the procedure, a patient may experience mild discomfort, itching, and sensitivity. It is a painless procedure. If a patient experiences pain, then painkillers are provided.

Another approach for laser vaginal lightening

Chemical peels are provided as an alternative approach. But it does not provide the same result as laser vaginal bleaching. The results are short-lived. A chemical peel that is non-toxic is given to apply on the pigmented area. The peel removes the topmost layer of the skin which is only 0.1mm thick. The underlying layer which is whiter than the top skin is visible. Vaginal bleaching by using chemical peel is an outpatient procedure. A cosmetic gynecologist will be able to apply the peel evenly on the skin so that the vaginal canal or vagina is safe and healthy.
