Labia majoraplasty is a cosmetic procedure that is performed to decrease the thickness or outer hair-bearing.
The appearance of the vagina changes due to bigger labia majora. When the vagina is fat or drooping, a person may feel discomfort while cycling or working out, or exposing the vagina during oral sex.
Labia Majora Reduction procedure
Local anesthesia with oral sedation or general anesthesia is given before the surgery. This depends on the patient or the gynecologist.
An incision is inserted on the inner sides of each labium and small crescents of skin are removed from them. The amount of skin to be removed depends on the doctor and the patient’s wish. In a situation where fatty tissues are required to be removed than required, fat transfer is done. Fats are placed in the labium region which is collected from various parts of the body. Absorbable sutures are utilised to close the incisions.
